It is a turn-based strategy game featuring kingdom exploration, resource management, town development, hero progression, and tactical grid-based combat. Players explore a fantasy world, recruit armies, collect artifacts, and develop their heroes while commanding one of nine factions. The game combines the original campaigns into a unified narrative and includes online multiplayer for up to eight players, local Hot Seat mode, and an editor for creating maps and campaigns.
